Cases of corona explosion have been reported in a government school in Karnataka and a medical college in Telangana amid the threat of Omicron variant. In Chikmagalur, Karnataka, 59 students of a government residential school as well as 10 teaching and non-teaching staff have been found corona infected. The top district officer of Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, said that no symptoms of any infected virus were found. Chikkamagaluru Deputy Commissioner KN Ramesh said there was no need to panic as medical teams have been deployed and an ambulance has been kept on standby. Meanwhile, the school, which has 450 resident students enrolled, has been sealed and sanitized. He said that the infected students and staff have been quarantined in a part of the hostel.

At the same time, detailed information is still awaited after the corona infection came to the fore in 43 students in the Medical College of Bomakkal village of Telangana. The District Medical Health Officer said on Sunday that at present, the rest of the information is to be given by the college. Till Monday, there were a total of 3 thousand 787 active cases of corona in Telangana. At the same time, so far a total of 3 thousand 999 patients have lost their lives due to corona in the state.

On the other hand, in the southern part of Karnataka, there are reports of corona cases in educational institutions sporadically since mid-November. Schools were reopened in the state in the first week of November after a gap of 19 months due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
