This time also there is doubt about the senior citizen pilgrimage which has been closed since 2020-21 due to Covid-19. Whether the yatra will happen this time or not, it has not been decided. If there is a program of travel, then it takes at least two months for its preparations. The Devasthan Department has also sent a proposal to the government regarding the yatra, in which it has sought guidance whether to undertake the yatra this time or not. By the way, the government has given many concessions in the guidelines issued in the state.
Instructions have been sought from the government in the proposal from the Devasthan headquarters. The department believes that if the government conducts the yatra, then the department will have to make preparations at the ground level in advance, from inviting applications, finalizing the route of pilgrimage places to arranging trains, etc. If there is a travel program from the government, then about two months is necessary for complete preparations. Although the government has conditionally opened many places in the state, from school to coaching, in such a situation, hope has arisen about this journey, but doubts have also arisen. The yatra was postponed last year due to Corona.
If senior citizens are included in the journey, then caution is also necessary for senior citizens regarding the guidelines and infection of Covid-19. Now the department is waiting for the decision of the government. Devasthan Commissioner Jitendra Kumar Upadhyay says that nothing has been decided about the journey yet. It will be decided as per the instructions received from the government.
