Industrialist Rahul Bajaj breathed his last on Saturday. Bajaj Group Chairman Rahul Bajaj was 83 years old. It is being told that he was running ill for the last one month. In 2001, the central government honored Rahul Bajaj with the Padma Bhushan. From 2006 to 2010, Rahul Bajaj was also a member of the Rajya Sabha. Rahul Bajaj was instrumental in taking the Bajaj Group to its heights over five decades.

Who was Rahul Bajaj

Rahul Bajaj was born on 10 June 1938 in Kolkata. He took over the leadership of the Bajaj Group in the 1960s. In 2005, he relinquished his post of chairman and was handed over the reins of the group by his son Rajiv Bajaj. Rahul Bajaj holds an Honors degree in Economics from the University of Delhi and a Law degree from the University of Bombay. He also did an MBA from Harvard Business School.
