Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav Tuesday released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. It is being called ‘Samajwadi Vachan Patra’ with the tag line of ‘Satya Vachan, Unbreakable Promise’.

Addressing a press conference, Akhilesh Yadav said, ‘I remember when SP released its manifesto in 2012 and then when we formed the government, we held a meeting of all departments related to various promises and fulfilled all those promises. Did. With ‘Satya Vachan, Unbreakable Promise’, we are going to the people with this document in the form of manifesto for 2022.”

Will the SP government wave farmers’ loans?

Akhilesh Yadav said that in four years i.e. By 2025, all farmers will be made ‘debt-free’ and a ‘Kripan Mukti’ law will be made, which will benefit most of the poor farmers. “MSP will be given for all crops and sugarcane farmers will get payment in 15 days and if required a fund will be created for the same,” he said. He said that free electricity, interest-free loan, insurance, and pension would be provided to all the farmers for irrigation.

The issue of loan waiver for farmers is old in UP

Let us tell you that the issue of loan waiver of farmers in agriculture-dominated Uttar Pradesh is very old. Sometimes parties try to woo farmers with the promise of waiving loans directly. However, Akhilesh has not said in his manifesto to waive the loan directly. Let us tell you that during the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, the BJP government had promised to waive the loans of farmers. However, after winning the election, the BJP government waived the farmers’ loans. But then the loan waiver was done only under a certain limit.
