An army helicopter had to make an emergency landing in a wheat field in the Jind district of Haryana. After a technical fault, the pilot landed the helicopter in the field in time. Four soldiers of the army were involved in this. All four are safe. Seeing the landing of the helicopter in the field, many people from the surrounding had also gathered.
A police officer who reached the spot after the emergency landing said that the technical unit of the army has been called to the spot. Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Singh said, ‘The emergency landing of the army helicopter took place in the fields. The jawan and the helicopter aboard are safe. No damage has been reported.
“Army’s ALH Dhruv AI-1123 helicopter was on its way from Bathinda in Punjab to Delhi and during this time there was some technical snag in it, due to which the pilot of the helicopter landed it safely in the field of Jabar Singh, a resident of village Jajanwala,” he said. Singh said, “There was no damage of any kind to the helicopter nor to any of the jaws aboard. Everyone is safe.’ He told that after receiving the information, the police of Sadar police station Narwana reached the spot.
It is said that four army personnel including the pilot were present in the helicopter. Meanwhile, a large number of villagers, especially the youth, gathered towards the fields on the information of the helicopter landing in the wheat field in the village. Police said that youths were also competing to take selfies with the helicopter. At the same time, the Army has issued a statement saying that the Army’s ALH Dhruv helicopter has made an emergency landing in Jind. The helicopter was going from Bathinda to Delhi. The chopper has been fixed and sent back to Bathinda. The helicopter has also reached Bathinda.
