The district administration will prepare an action plan to give concrete shape to the prohibition of liquor in the Patna district. This work will start on Saturday itself. Emphasis will be given in the action plan on how the home delivery of liquor will be stopped. Along with this, the number of raids will be increased to recover illegal liquor.


In a meeting with the Commissioner, IG, DM, and SSP in the Collectorate Auditorium on Friday, Additional Chief Secretary of Excise, Registration, and Prohibition Department, KK Pathak gave these instructions in the meeting. The Additional Chief Secretary has asked the Patna district administration to prepare an action plan within a week to stop the home delivery.

Special emphasis is being given to stop the home delivery of liquor. For this, the administration is identifying such people who are involved in this business. Especially the list of people engaged in the supply of liquor is being prepared. It is also being seen that before this, who have gone to jail or who are facing trial in the matter of supply of liquor. Such people are being monitored.

Where is the wine coming from? What age are the suppliers? In which area the maximum number of home delivery of liquor is being done. Where is it being stocked? The action plan is being prepared on all these points. The Additional Chief Secretary has asked the officers to intensify the raids. The officials are emphasizing that the prohibition of liquor in Patna should be fully embodied and from here a message should be given to the whole of Bihar. From Saturday, raids regarding liquor in the Patna district can be intensified.
