South’s films are ringing these days. Actor Suriya’s film ‘Jai Bheem’ was released some time back which was well received by the critics as well as the audience. The film tells the story of discrimination on the basis of caste and the police system in society. Now another achievement has been added to the name of the film and it is being discussed internationally. ‘Jai Bheem’ is shown on the official YouTube channel of Oscars. Suriya’s fans on social media are calling it a matter of pride for Tamil cinema and congratulating the actor.

what is the story

This is the first Tamil film to be featured on Oscar’s YouTube channel. Earlier ‘Jai Bheem’ was also nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Golden Globe 2022. The film was released directly on Amazon Prime Video on 2 November 2021. The story of ‘Jai Bheem’ is inspired by Chandru, an activist, and lawyer who through his efforts helped bring justice to the backward people in Tamil Nadu who were marginalized. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel.
