There is a demand from Congress leaders to make a separate law to guarantee MSP. 11 parties participated in the meeting of Congress

A meeting of opposition parties led by Congress was held today, just before the start of the winter session of Parliament. A total of 11 political parties participated in this meeting. However, Mamata Banerjee’s TMC and Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party were not a part of the meeting. Apart from Congress, the parties which attended the meeting included DMK, NCP, CPM, CPI, RJD, IUML, LJD, National Conference, MDMK, and RSP.

Lok Sabha adjourned till 12 noon after sloganeering by opposition MPs

Opposition MPs started shouting slogans in the Lok Sabha as soon as the winter session of Parliament began. Thereafter, the proceedings of the House were adjourned till 12 noon.
