The government is doing everything possible to evacuate Indians amid Russia’s attack in Ukraine. Prime Minister Modi called several high-level meetings on this matter. Four Union ministers reached Ukraine’s four neighboring countries from where students and other people are being brought back through Operation Ganga. At the same time, when a plane arrived carrying Indian people, Union Minister Smriti Irani welcomed them in the style of ‘air hostess’.

Smriti Irani spoke to the people on board the plane in her own language. Spoke to people who were from Kerala in Malayalam, to people of West Bengal in Bengali, and to people from Gujarat in Gujarati. He told people coming back from Ukraine, ‘Welcome back to your home.’

Four Union ministers have been sent as special ambassadors to rescue people trapped in Ukraine. These include Kiren Rijiju, General (Retd) VK Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Hardeep Singh Puri. The Air Force has also been engaged in this work. People were also brought back to India by Air Force’s Globemaster C17 aircraft. When VK Singh spoke to the returning people, the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ started being raised inside the aircraft.

While talking to the students, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that it is the priority of the government to get everyone safe. He said, ‘Some videos are also going viral in which it is being said that people are still trapped in Ukraine. The problem with this is that many people have not yet been able to get out of Ukraine and it is very difficult for us to go there. But everyone will be kicked out.
