REET: Today is the last date of application for teacher recruitment on 15500 posts being done through the REET level-1 examination. Till now 1.25 lakh applications have been received till Tuesday. For the first time, twice the number of candidates will be called for document and eligibility tests. This means that 31 thousand candidates will be screened on the basis of merit for 15500 posts. In Level-1 teacher recruitment, this time only 9 candidates will compete for 1 post.

The number of those who qualified for Level-1 was 3.30 lakhs. But 2 lakh candidates who are eligible are not applying. They did not get the required marks for merit.

Let us tell you that a total of 32000 teachers were to be recruited under REET 2021 (Level-1 and Level-2). But after the cancellation of the Level-2 exam, now from REIT 2021, only 15500 posts of Level-1 will be recruited. In the canceled REIT Level-2 recruitment of 16500 posts, 13865 posts were from the non-TSP area, while 2635 posts were from the TSP area.

20,000 posts will be recruited in the REET 2022 exam. Now here if we add 15,500, 16,500 and 20,000 terms, then some number is 52,000. The government has increased the total number of recruits to 62,000 by adding 10,000 to 52,000 for damage control. That is, by combining REET 2021 and REIT 2022, now 62 thousand posts of teachers will be recruited. The first exam of REET Level 2 will be on the basis of eligibility. Whereas the second examination will be for teacher recruitment.
