With the sounding of the assembly elections in UP, the activities of the Samajwadi Party have intensified. First of all, the officers sitting on special posts in the Yogi government have come on the target of SP.
The Samajwadi Party has demanded the removal of four key officers of the state including UP’s Additional Chief Secretary Home Avneesh Awasthi. SP has written a letter to the Election Commission in this regard.
It has been said in the letter that Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal, ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar, and ADG STF Amitabh Thakur are behaving like BJP workers. Without them, free and fair elections cannot take place. Therefore, these officers should be removed from their posts.
The model code of conduct has come into force in the state with the announcement of elections by the Election Commission on Saturday. Elections will be held in the state in seven phases. The first phase of elections from Western UP will start on February 10 and the results will come on March 10 after the last phase of elections in Purvanchal will be held on March 7.
