Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has targeted Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s statement of ‘bhaiya’. He said political parties have failed the people of UP and Bihar, who are left with no option but to migrate “like Indians who want to go abroad”.

Chaturvedi said that migrants come in the form of cheap labour, service providers, businessmen, entrepreneurs, parliamentarians and bureaucrats. They contribute to the economy of the states they migrate to. He appealed to the political leaders to stop making fun of him. The Shiv Sena MP said that the most important thing is that he is an Indian.

‘There is no option left but to flee’

Chaturvedi wrote on Twitter, “Political parties have failed the people of UP and Bihar, so those who have a choice run away. Just like Indians want to go abroad. Subsequent governments could not provide them opportunities and jobs. But when they are in other states, they contribute to their economy.”

‘They are Indians, stop joking’

The Shiv Sena leader said, “Look around you, they are your unorganized labour. They are sometimes your cheap labourers, sometimes your service providers, they are your businessmen, they are your entrepreneurs, your MLAs, your bureaucrats. Most of all. The important thing is that they are Indians. Stop making fun of them.”

What did CM Channi say?

It is known that CM Channi had said, ‘Priyanka Gandhi is the daughter-in-law of Punjabis. This is Punjabi. So get aside Punjabis… Brothers of UP, Bihar and Delhi want to come and rule here. We don’t want them to enter.
