Thousands of people have attended the last visit of the country’s top military officer CDS General Bipin Rawat. In the last journey from 3, Kamaraj Marg, people were seen showering flowers with moist eyes at many places. Along with the common people, top commanders of neighboring countries of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal also participated in this last visit. On Wednesday, CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and 11 other army officers were killed in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiri district. On Friday, the bodies of CDS Rawat and his wife were kept at their house for the last glimpse of the people.


During this, the Security Advisor posted in the High Commission of Pakistan also reached General Rawat’s house to pay tribute. General Shevendra Silva, who is the Chief of Defense Staff of Sri Lanka and is the Army Commander, also arrived to attend the last visit of CDS General Rawat. Apart from this, Brigadier Dorji Rinchen, Deputy Chief Operations Officer of the Royal Bhutan Army also attended. The Chief of General Staff of the Nepalese Army, Lt Gen Balkrishna Karki also attended. Not only this, but the Principal Staff Officer of Bangladesh Lt Gen Wakir-uz-Zaman was also in the last visit.

According to the report of ANI, the former Chief of Defense Staff of Sri Lanka, Admiral Ravindra Chandrasree Wijegunaratne also reached General Rawat’s last visit. He was General Rawat’s coursemate and one of his close friends. General Rawat’s funeral is about to reach Berar Square in Delhi Cantt in a few moments, where his last rites are to be performed. Earlier in the morning, there was an influx of people paying tribute at his house. Many big personalities including Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chief Justice NV Ramanna, all the union ministers reached the CDS residence and paid their respects.
